Temples around the old city of Chiangmai

Temples  around the old city of Chingmai . Wat Phra Singh, the recently restored Viharn Lai Kham a classic example of the Lanna style architecture and was built to enshrine the Phra Singh image. Also near by is Wat Chedi Luang which located the huge pagoda that was partly destroyed in an earthquake in 1545 .Continue to Wat Chiang Man, the oldest temple in Chiang mai and contains several ancient artifacts. Then drive beyond the city wall to Wat Suan Dok,where the remains of former rulers of Lanna Kingdom are entombed in small numerous Chedi, which collected from several sites as the Princess Dararatsami's desire in 1909.
